Emmy Award–winning editor Uma Sanasaryan has spent more than two decades crafting documentary and unscripted stories for leading streaming platforms and networks. Her credits include Chef's Table, High on the Hog, Home Game, Polo, and other acclaimed series for Netflix, Amazon, and more.

Imagemaker

Alongside her editorial work, Uma creates original films exploring ritual, memory, ancestry, food, and transformation. Her short documentary Imagemaker—created over thirteen years while documenting the preparation of a Goddess Kali image for a traditional Hindu ritual in Hollywood—won the Audience Award for Best Short Film at the Newport Beach Film Festival in 2021.

Her most recent experimental film I See You, I Love You, I Feed You, an exploration of seven Soviet ancestral soups transformed into healing prayers, has participated in film festivals around the world and won the Jodorowsky Award at the Hermetic International Film Festival in 2026.
